How Play Guitar
How I can play back guitar through a tube amp?
I have to play lead guitar for an audition, but must be a pre-recorded as a second guitar track again. I am only allowed a single amp – mine being an old 100 watt Marshall tube – and no other public address system. Any suggestions on how to create a consistent sound? If this amp does not have an idea for a contemporary one that? Thank you. Robert H.
It is an excellent thing, but it could do. In some ways depends on having Marshall. If it is one of the former Super Leads with 4 inputs and two controls volume, then in theory you could connect your music source in one of them and your guitar in the other. Nevertheless, the equalizer will be compromised between the guitar and the music source. If only one entry, you can use a small external mixer to combine the guitar and the music source, and send it to the amplifier. However, requiring the implementation of very clean amp. Therefore, if you are counting on the amplifier distortion, this option is out. There is the several practice amps out there now that they have a ticket to a music source that bypasses the guitar preamp and EQ. Therefore, you can have your guitar distorted and clean music. Fender amp has a pair like this now, as line 6. If you are looking for a one-box solution, this is probably your best bet. Good luck with the audition. Greetings from Austin, TX, Ken
