This course is designed for the beginning guitarist who wants to start playing the blues. No note-reading ability is required in this course, but a basic knowledge of open and barre chords is necessary. These types of chords are taught in Mel Bays Anyone Can Play Guitar, Vol. 1 and 2. This video will teach you new chords and chord progressions as applied to blues music. You will learn blues techniques, licks, and scales that will enable you to perform complete blues guitar solos. Also included are rhythm tricks so you can practice your chords and licks with a complete blues band. Includes an instructional booklet at http: //www.melbay.com/DVDbooklets/index.asp.
Vern Juran has played and taught guitar professionally for over twenty years. His course presents beginning acoustic and electric guitar students with a practical, easy-to-learn approach. Using numerous close-ups and diagrams both on-screen and in the accompanying booklet, this video lesson teaches the student to strum basic chords for four folk songs and two blues progressions. By following this method, you can enjoy a lifetime of guitar playing, no matter what style of music you choose. Includes free instructional booklet at http: //www.melbay.com/DVDbooklets/index.asp.

Neck-Through ConstructionB.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.EMG-81 (bridge position)The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you’re playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there’s a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you’re looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.EMG-85 (neck position)Although the EMG-85 has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn’t muddy. The Assassin was introduced in 1986. It was a double cutaway that was a departure for the odd shaped models that B.C. Rich was known for up until that time. In 1986, there were other double cutaways that B.C. Rich began making with various headstocks, pickup configurations, controls and finishes. The ASM
¿I can use my electric guitar strings for my acoustic guitar?
¿I can use my electric guitar strings for my guitar acoustics?
If it is a steel-string acoustic, then yes, you can. Although there are some important differences. Electric Guitar Strings are typically thinner. A .010 gauge E string is considered very high light in an acoustic signal, but a means to power. If the strings are not enough heavy, they will be flexible and poor sound. Acoustic strings are also wrapped in bronze, electrical chains are involved in nickel. This makes some of the significant tonal differences. Bronze wrapped strings really compliment the sound of the acoustic guitar. Nickel wrapped strings sound weak and small in an acoustic. Though I have not tried it, I imagine that the bronze wrapped strings sound too bassy and mud on an electric guitar.

Hailed as one of the most powerful vocalists and greatest bassists of his time, Jack Bruce’s improvisational skill and utterly unique, free-spirited approach to composition and performance would forever change the face of electric music. His pioneering, full-toned, free-wheeling playing on the electric bass revolutionized the way the instrument is used and influenced the playing of countless bassists to today, including Sting and Jaco Pastorius. His work with bands such as Cream and the Tony Williams Lifetime, as well as his solo material, unlocked the doors to the pent-up energy of a new approach to the art of sound, breaking the barriers of tradition and creating a kind of music that had never been heard. He’s currently touring the U.S. and Europe (Asia and Australia are next) with his band the Cuicoland Express. Jack Bruce: Doing This…On Ice! is a 2-CD collection of Bruce material recorded in the early 1980s, featuring, along with Bruce, Clem Clempson (guitar), David Sancious (guitar/keyboards) and Billy Cobham (drums).

Some music lovers in mind an electric guitar as his best friend. To take it wherever they go, and sat on a bench in the park and let the afternoon pass through the beautiful songs played his electric guitar. Of course, it would also bring your laptop amplifier, speakers with them.
Sad to say, not all electric guitars can find the right sound, and every time I went to a music store that certainly could feel that "music instinct" I draw the appropriate instrument. Many guitarists have felt this way with the electric guitars made by Peerless. In fact, some have not seen one before, but instantly drew up the guitar at the initial hearing.
A Peerless guitar looks really fantastic. You will fall immediately. A model that comes standard greatness is Firefox. It looks like the 335, however, found no F holes in it. Has exceptional Filertron style trucks.
When we look at the finishing touches on this guitar, you can instantly see that it is quite exceptional. You will notice of becoming skilled craftsmen shape and angle perfectly. The feel of her neck is really incredible. Its action is low and settings will realize the high frets.
When connecting the electric guitar in a sj € m 150 amps, you would get a clean sound and good. If you like jazz music, then this would be a perfect complement.
Once you start playing this electric guitar, which would hear a warm and welcoming with a good hold, not at all muddy. The clarity is impressive and has a bell like sound when playing chords.
Playing guitar with a pedal Digitech Distortion fact, be granted sounds really beautiful. It seems that the guitar has a life of its own, with a claim that is really excellent. Guitars that have a style similar often have a very thick bottom and top also has a fragile but not encounter these problems with this standard Firefox.
In effect, this guitar Peerless Firefox is a valuable tool that could play most styles of music. The price is very reasonable and any guitarist can easily say that is a must-have.

A jack-of-all-trades, and master of all of them, the xtSA s incredible sound power begins with three distinct voices: electric guitar, acoustic guitar and synth controller. The xtSA delivers big time electric sounds via the Godin humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration and thanks to a special 5-way switch setup extra meaty humbucker tones co-exist with glassy split-coil sounds in the second and forth position. Turn down the electric output and raise the volume on the RMC transducer saddles and the xtSA becomes an incredibly authentic-sounding acoustic guitar. The acoustic voice of the xtSA is enhanced by an onboard preamp with a three-way graphic EQ. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. The icing on the xtSA cake comes in the form of its synth tracking, which simply put, is the best in the business. As with all of Godin synth-ready instruments, a built-in 13-pin connector provides direct access to all Roland GR-Series synths as well as most other 13-pin devices. All of this sound power would be a lot less interesting if the guitar didn t feel great and great is exactly how the xtSA feels thanks to the same 25 scale, mahogany neck used on the Godin flagship LGX-SA guitar. The ebony fingerboard is shaped with Godin s ergocut technique and equipped with medium jumbo frets. The body is made from a silverleaf maple center with poplar wings and decorated with a figured maple veneer on top.

What acoustic/electric Classical (nylon strings) guitar should i buy for under $1000?
Pretty much any one that you want to. It isn’t so much about the money as it is about wrapping your hands around the guitar you can’t live without. Go to a decent guitar shop or center and play a few guitars. Invite a freind along who knows what they are doing:
1. Play the guitar for them amplified and unamplified and get their opinion.
2. Have them play the guitar for you, stand back about eight to ten feet and get the aural big picture again, amplified and unamplified.
Are you going to spend the entire amount on the guitar or are you shopping for a guitar and an acoustic amp here? subtract three to four hundred from what you can spend on the guitar if you are looking for an amp to go with it.
Most Taylors go for over a thousand, There are several Yamaha models, Several Takamines, Some Godins, Ovations, Some very nice Alvarez. But it’s really up to you. I have seen such variety of sound between four guitars that are literally the same make and model, I would never presume to say, “This is the guitar for you” when I don’t know you. Hope this gets you on the road to finding your dream guitar.
