i am concerned the accuracy is off. i need a new one, preferably digital. the current analog mercury one works like this, it is fed with 3 wires, one is common(Red), one is to open the valve(White), and one is to close the valve again(Green). in other word’s, the mercury bulb has 3 contacts, the Red(Common) is in the middle. The Green(valve close) is in the top, and the White(valve open) is on the bottom. when the slider moves the coil to the right, the mercury blob completes the ckt between the common and the valve open wires. that is how the current one operates. can this be re produced digitally, and if so what is the thermometer called? can you provide links to a website for it then?
