For the beginners out there that knows nothing about a guitar or playing one, here are some tips to help you be playing as Jimi Hendrix in no time. Guitar Learning Software Free After all, playing the guitar is a good way to relax and reduce stress.
First, get a good guitar that do not impede the ability to reproduce or learning. I have seen many cases where the guitar is the problem, not the student. Make sure that the "action and gameplay" (distance from the chain in the neck) the guitar is good and correctly intonated (the bridge the strings are tuned to the correct length) or you have to play the setting and the problems that are not their fault. Also learning in light gauge strings are advised to stop finger strain worth paying a few dollars more to set the guitar 'to' before start playing.
Second, get a good teacher or at least a good DVD that explains the methods of learning a simple and easy, and secure you're playing 'Songs', or at least riffs within the first lesson. Avoid learning boring scales and exercises to motivation. These can be done later. Try to learn individually (one by one) and not in a group situation.
Third, practice all day for at least 10 minutes, and always practice what I can not play instead of what otherwise might not promoted. Try to learn simple versions of the songs we know what we can sing (even if only in your mind) with the song.
Fourth, learn a mix of chords, single notes, scales and riffs, even in the early stages of learning. This is important to develop the technique and strength in the finger and wrist. On the other hand, have the guitar, if possible, in a stand where is easily accessible, so you will pick it up often. If in a case under the bed forget it. If it is next to the TV that will take more often.

Fifth, know how to tune the guitar and always has a tuner or at least a tuning fork to make sure they are in tune otherwise it will sound horrible. Using a metronome or a drum machine so you can keep basic time and develop a sense of rhythm. This is one of the most neglected areas of learning, and often the main cause of bad habits later in the student's progress.
Sixth, try to learn songs that you enjoy and in a style you like. There is no point playing the songs of Metallica, if you like Bob Dylan. However, its not a bad idea to learn new styles but stick to what you know and like, at least initially. This way you will keep your interest in playing the guitar while barely getting started.
Finally, record yourself and listen back to it. No matter how terrible it may seem that will improve both their desire and ability to play better. Also, if you want to play lead guitar, play more of a rhythm part that is recorded at a music stand to play. This will improve your ability to solo dramatically.
Using these tips, you will maintain your interest in the guitar and helps them learn better than they normally would otherwise. Learning the guitar is a great and wants to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

Since I’m unable to get lessons, I’m stuck with a Fender Stratocaster I can’t play. I have tried to play by ear (The Wretched By Nine Inch Nails) but find it a tad bit hard. Should I explore the guitar (as in play all the frets to get a feel for it) or just go along with it? I do know the basics such as what the strings are called, easy chords, and the likes. If anyone has advice about any other ways, please tell me.
First off. The strat is a fine guitar. I have 5 and several Jacksons. You can put a humbucker in it if you don’t like the single coil in the bridge position. I learned to play with stuff from this site way back in 1986. They were cassette tapes and books back then. They now are on dvd and very affordable and on sale right now for a package deal. I reccomend the package deal for $215 if you can. If not buy them one at a time as you are ready for each level.
