However, I don’t think there are “virtual” guitars on the internet, as they are too complex an instrument. Why not borrow a guitar of a friend or a relative for a while and see if you enjoy it. I just bought an acoustic guitar. It came with a digital tuner but i have no clue how to tune it. I don’t have any musical experience really. What’s a great website that will teach me, step by step, how to learn to read notes and tabs and how to actually play them for free? Also, are there any great software that has the potential to help me? I don’t mind paying for the software if its not free.

Free Guitar/Violin Tuning Software for Windows + Tutorial
I hear all the time that ear training increases your abilities so much faster. I just don’t know the best way to train my ear. Some people say it’s best to use online software to learn intervals, chord sounds and such. Others say try to learn your favorite songs without using online tabs and try to find the notes just using your intstrument. I always though that way was too tedious because it seems like it takes forever to learn one song if you don’t know where to start. Some people also say to just listen to music constantly and it will come to you. But would it still come to me if I don’t know what i’m supposed to be listening for? This ear training stuff is confusing to me. What do you think is the best way? Please don’t just say a combination of all of these. Can you give me some kind of justification or explanation for some of this.
By the way, I’m not a classical guitarist. I just put the question in this section because I thought I would get the most feedback here.
One thing I want to add, you can’t learn something if you don’t know what it is. Listening to music or figuring out a song on your own won’t help you if you don’t know what you are doing….
You need to learn the theory before you do anything like that so you can apply it to these activities.
